Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 school in Yorktown, VA is seeking a skilled School Psychologist for a contract position lasting the current school year (CSY). This is an opportunity to provide essential psychological services that support the academic, social, and emotional development of students.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for K-12 students to identify learning needs and challenges
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and intervention services to address behavioral and emotional issues
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student support strategies
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines
- Assist in crisis intervention and provide staff training on mental health topics as needed
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid license or certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working in a K-12 educational environment
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, families, and staff
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently and maintain documentation standards
