We are looking for a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and enhance security measures across various systems and platforms. As a key contributor, you will play a critical role in safeguarding organizational assets, responding to incidents, and driving innovation in cybersecurity practices.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain robust security architecture and infrastructure.
• Lead cybersecurity incident response efforts, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT and executive leadership, to align security policies with organizational goals.
• Develop and refine disaster recovery plans and security procedures to ensure business continuity.
• Oversee vulnerability management and manage partnerships with external security service providers.
• Utilize tools such as firewalls, encryption technologies, and vulnerability scanning platforms to protect systems and data.
• Conduct penetration testing and ethical hacking to proactively identify and address security weaknesses.
• Research and implement emerging cybersecurity technologies, including Privileged Access Management.
• Automate security processes using tools like CrowdStrike and Rapid7, leveraging scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices through regular audits and assessments.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on incident response and risk management.
• Strong knowledge of security tools and technologies, including firewalls, encryption, and vulnerability scanning.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Microsoft O365, Active Directory, and cloud-based services.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation purposes.
• Hands-on expertise in penetration testing and ethical hacking techniques.
• Understanding of disaster recovery planning and implementation.
• Preferred certifications include Security+ or equivalent, though not required.
