We are looking for a highly skilled Electrician with expertise in fire alarm and suppression systems to ensure the reliability and safety of our cutting-edge facilities.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Maintain and Repair Electrical Systems: Install, maintain, repair, and test essential electrical equipment ($600$ volts or less), including generators, transformers, switchboards, motors, circuit breakers, and heating units across the research campus.
  • Specialize in Fire Safety: Perform comprehensive installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of fire alarm and fire suppression systems.
  • Advanced Diagnostics: Locate and diagnose trouble in complex electrical and fire systems, performing standard calculations for load requirements and wiring sizes.
  • Project Planning: Plan and lay out work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, and estimate labor and materials for new installations.
  • Technical Execution: Use standard electrician’s tools and specialized test and measurement equipment to execute work based on schedules and work orders.

What You'll Bring (Requirements)

  • Mandatory License: A Valid state of Ohio Fire License is required for working and installing Fire Systems.
  • Experience: Proven ability to perform a variety of electrical trade functions for the distribution or utilization of electrical equipment.
  • Skills: Proficiency in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and planning complex electrical and low-voltage systems.
