Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 school in Westfield, MA is seeking an experienced school psychologist for a 3-month maternity leave coverage this fall. The position is based at a high school serving approximately 800 students and offers a contract for the normal school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct around 8 comprehensive psychological evaluations per month
- Collaborate with educators and staff to interpret evaluation results
- Participate in school-wide duties and team meetings
- Provide recommendations to support student learning and development
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school policies
- No individual counseling responsibilities in this role
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working in K-12 school settings
- Strong assessment and report-writing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of special education laws and practices
