Maintenance Electrician
Wyoming
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for general equipment maintenance and electrical and instrumentation work as well as the general installation and maintenance of mechanical equipment at the facility. Under general supervision this includes designing, installing, constructing, modifying, repairing and maintenance of mechanical, pumps, and electrical equipment and systems. A strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan the layout of electrical systems including PLC/DCS systems and instrumentation.
• Install and inspect electrical systems for compliance with applicable codes and OSHA requirements.
• Wire down hole pumps and motors, process pumps, automated valves, header houses and other electrical applications including MCCs, instrumentation, and low voltage systems.
• Replace line fuses up to 14,400 volts.
• Diagnose malfunctions in electrical systems using test equipment and hand tools.
• Program PLCs, VFDs, MCCs, and automated equipment.
• Install, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment including piping systems, compressors, generators, cementers, and pulling units.
• Conduct equipment and safety inspections and maintain records.
• Maintain parts inventory and demonstrate strong commitment to safety.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Licensed Journeyman Electrician.
• Valid Class C driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read, write, perform basic math, and operate computerized systems.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma.
• Experience in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems.
• Experience with PLC/DCS systems and industrial operations software.
