Associated Integrated Solutions is the Automation division of Associated Packaging Incorporated. The AIS Systems Engineer partners with API end-users and API sales personnel to design & sell automated integrated solutions to API end users, solving or enhancing their production processes.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify AIS projects by calling on end-users or working with API Sales Representatives and Sales Leaders.
- Assist in identifying customer needs and challenges.
- Conduct detailed facility site inspection with API Sales Representatives and API end users.
- Review customer accumulated data and specify other information required.
- Develop an automated solution that solves a customer’s operational challenge.
- Take lead on presenting the solution to the customer at their site or via virtual meetings.
- Participate in the development of systems proposals. Including operational functions and designs, equipment recommendations with specifications, the general scope of work for subcontractors.
- Prepare and present detailed presentations as required in the proposal process.
- Assist with the explanation and analysis of the proposed solution.
- Organization of the ordering of the different segments through the normal API purchasing process.
- Support AIS projects throughout their life.
- Manage the technical follow-up with customers and suppliers.
- Meeting timelines.
- Address project-related concerns with customers, vendors & suppliers
- The AIS Systems Engineer role project responsibilities may include the following tasks:
- Assist with Customer Acceptance Review.
- Participate as a member of the project team.
- Interface with the customer's project manager.
- Assist with schedule development and execution.
- Assist with coordinating the training of the customer’s personnel.
- Assist with the completion of the work in accordance with the contract documents.
- Assist the AIS Sales Team in providing customers with commissioning/acceptance/training documentation.
- Coordination of Tech Data/System approvals.
- Assist with the consolidation of project-related information as needed for Terms & Conditions or any other “legal” review.
- Assist with document consolidation and archiving.
- Coordinate Project needs with the Associated Technical Service Group as needed.
- Any additional follow-up & coordination as required.
- Be on-site with the installation of the equipment as required.
- Participate in FAT’s, as required.
- Assist with testing of the system on-site as required.
- Assist with gathering project acceptance.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Automation, Robotics, Engineering field preferred
- 4+ years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Competencies:
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
- Ability to organize workload, adapt quickly to change, and deliver under the pressure of deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 programs including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software applications.
