Job Summary: ZelTech has a requirement for a mid-level Open Source Analyst (OSA) to support planning and integration of new and existing intelligence collection, exploitation, reporting, dissemination, and evaluation capabilities into AFSOC Distributed Ground Station (DGS)/intelligence units and shall provide implementation of these warfighting capabilities through direct support to AFSOC. This includes integration of data from Open Source collection, fusion, correlation, and dissemination systems related to UAS-RPA, manned satellite systems, and surface/ground collection platforms conducting ISR operations. This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Essential Job Functions: The Open Source Analyst (OSA) shall provide experienced analyst functions for open source intelligence (OSINT), publically available information (PAI), and social media data to AFSOC to support a full range of intelligence operations and USSOCOM unit requirements. Specifically, the OSA shall provide an integration capability for National Intelligence Community's collection, reporting and analysis capabilities into AFSOC planning, threat analysis, targeting, and assessment processes in support of joint SOF and coalition operations. The Open Source Analyst plans, guides, and conducts knowledge management support activities to synchronize plans, policies, standards, and procedures pertaining to AFSOC OSINT, PAI, and social media analytical activities. The OSA shall work directly with customers and team members to research, evaluate, analyze, fuse, and interpret information gleaned from raw or processed open source data to produce, augment, or enhance intelligence products. The OSA shall provide open source advisory, training, process definition and documentation support as well as operational support for AFSOC PED execution. The OSA is required to be trained-in, and able to utilize, multiple open source, all-source, and SOF unique tools/software (e.g. Defense Connect on-line, mIRC, Jabber, JWICs, SOCRATES, DNET-6, DNET-10, and Microsoft Office applications for reports, briefings, and spreadsheets). In response to mission requirements, the OSA will provide intelligence products to the government. Responsibility for validating and releasing the the intelligence products resides with the the Government/Military.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Must have 5 years of OSINT experience
  • Must have experience supportingg SOF, and familiar in SOF-specific toolsets and software programs
  • Must be experienced in the following:
    • OSINT Course Completion or Certificate: NASIC, BHTK, or equivalent
    • Open Source Intelligence (OSINT)
    • Publically Available Information (PAI)
    • Social Media
    • Intelligence Reporting
    • intelligence Research
    • OSINT/PAI/SM Software and Tools
    • All-Source Intelligence Software and Tools
    • ISR PED Support
  • DESIRED: Previous work experience with Open Source Center, 310th MI, JTF, or other organizations focused on open source intelligence, social media and publically available information.

Education: N/A

Special Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • Must be willing to work panama schedule - working 12.5 hour shifts (rotating between night and days every three months) for seven days every two weeks.
  • Some travel (less than 25%)
