Job Description

As a full-time Farm Equipment Mechanic, you will be a valued team member who is able to assemble, maintain and repair machinery and farm equipment with our mechanic . The Farm Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of machines, engines and mechanical systems. An excellent mechanic must have manual dexterity and great attention to detail. They must be able to work with various machines and tools as well as follow all safety precautions. They will also operate some machinery and trucks.

Shift: This position offers variable hours. During busy seasons, there may be weeks with additional hours. The schedule will be flexible and may include weekends, over-time and holidays to support the needs of the business.

Required Qualifications & Experiences:

· 18 years or older with a current and clean driver’s license

· Ability to communicate and work effectively with team members

· Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) a plus

Preferred Qualifications & Experiences

· High School Diploma or GED.

· 3+ years of experience repairing and maintaining construction or ag equipment

· Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components

· Aptitude in using various hand tools

· Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

· Maintain records of repairs and maintenance done on tractors, dairy equipment and robots, and any other equipment used for operations

· Repair and adjust hydraulic systems

· Repair or replace pneumatics in agricultural equipment

· Maintain inventory of parts needed to perform any maintenance or repair

· Configure and adjust implements in the shop and fields

· Operate trucks and machinery at times

· Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Essential Physical Requirements

· Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements.
