Location details: This role is on-site 5 days/week at the FAA Headquarters in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.


Evans is hiring a Systems Engineer resource to join their growing team in one of their contracts in New Jersey. You will interface with and provide systems engineering expertise to test, software, and user teams as the program begins development testing and operational Testing. We are seeking someone who demonstrates proven success in providing engineering input to support system tests and requirements while managing activities while focusing on technical analysis and program status reports.

  • Manage and track technical program requirements.
  • Support requirements reviews, development reviews, and verification reviews.
  • Act as a liaison between various user groups, bargaining units, and test teams.
  • Executing system engineering tasks requests and ensuring functionality.
  • Contribute to deliverables such as use cases, requirements documentation, specifications, systems engineering management plan, requirements traceability matrix, and test plan.
  • Provide program plan development and maintenance assistance.
  • Provide technical acumen regarding engineering databases and analysis.
  • Oversee technical project deliverables and communicate project and program statuses with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Support briefing development by participating in weekly tactical and strategic meetings, internal program and requirement reviews.
  • Provide general program management support.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, IT Systems Infrastructure or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with requirements analysis, development/management, configuration management, and quality assurance.
  • Strong technical review skills and experience.
  • Experience improving quality, efficiency, and effectiveness by which client program information is shared and communicated.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to support multiple activities and meet deadlines.
  • FAA or FAA subsidiary experience required.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization, cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure), and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).
  • Knowledge of security protocols and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Compensation

Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $95,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Evans’s total compensation package for employees.
