IMMEDIATE JOB OPENING – Bridge Inspection – Team Leader (Rocky Hill, CT)


Garg Consulting Services, Inc. (Garg) is seeking a qualified Office Engineer to support transportation construction projects in Connecticut. Founded in 1990, Garg is a multi-disciplinary engineering firm with offices in Rocky Hill, CT, and Princeton, NJ. Bridge Inspection - Team Leader Position: Bridge Inspection Team Leader

Location: Rocky Hill, CT, Providence RI or Westchester County NY

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $120,000-$160,000 per year

* Responsibilities*

  • Lead and supervise a team of bridge inspectors, providing guidance and support.
  • Plan and coordinate bridge inspections according to established protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of bridges, documenting findings, and prepare detailed inspection reports.
  • Analyze inspection data to assess structural conditions.
  • Collaborate with engineers, clients, and stakeholders to communicate inspection results



Qualifications

  • B.S degree in Civil Engineering
  • Valid Professional Engineering License
  • At least 5 years' experience in bridge inspection.
  • Completed comprehensive training courses including NHI coursework (Bride Inspection/ Refresher Training, Fracture Critical, Tunnel Inspection, Ancillary Structures Etc.)
  • Highly motivated and independent with strong work ethic
  • Ability and experience to lead the work of others, communicate and maintain proper working relationships
  • Possess knowledge of bridge inspection methods and procedures. Must have experience with reporting procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must have the physical abilities to traverse steep embankments, work within confined spaces, perform inspections while climbing structures, capable of lifting and carrying 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
  • Working knowledge of Bentley MicroStation/ AutoCAD
