Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time School Psychologist is needed to provide specialized psychological services for a preschool-kindergarten daycare setting. This contract position serves children in early childhood development within a K-12 school environment located in Brooklyn, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for preschool and kindergarten students
  • Develop individualized intervention plans based on evaluation results
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student growth and well-being
  • Provide direct counseling and behavioral supports to children
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to educational planning
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory and program standards

Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State Education Department (NYSED) Office of Professional Practice (OP) license as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working with young children aged 3-6 in educational or daycare settings
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood developmental psychology and assessment tools
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills for working with families and school personnel
  • Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining high-quality services

Schedule and Location:

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Based in Brooklyn, NY within a preschool-kindergarten daycare facility
