Our client is seeking a Structural Engineer who is responsible for designing, analyzing, and reviewing steel structures used in electrical power line systems and traffic intersection applications. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate closely with designers, project teams, and internal stakeholders.

Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | No Relocation Assistance

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM

Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural calculations, analysis, and modeling.
  • Provide accurate input to the design team for fabrication drawings.
  • Develop and maintain engineering standards and documentation.
  • Interpret contract documents, drawings, job orders, and customer specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance for design reviews, investigations, and standards development.
  • Design structural components for electrical transmission and traffic intersection steel structures.
  • Review structural drawings for compliance with engineering requirements, project specifications, and customer standards.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on schedule and meet quality standards.
  • Participate in internal and external design reviews.
  • Support continuous improvement of engineering processes and corporate guidelines.

Qualifications/Must Haves:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • 5+ years of structural engineering and design experience.
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil or Structural preferred)
  • Proficiency with engineering calculations and structural analysis tools.
  • Experience with 3D modeling software (any platform; PLS‑POLE preferred)
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Nice‑to‑Haves:

  • Experience with PLS‑POLE.
  • Familiarity with fabrication processes and shop drawing workflows.
  • Experience in steel structure design for utility or transportation industries.
