About You
MD² is hiring an IT Manager to join our growing team in our Bellevue MD² International office. You are a motivated self-starter with strong IT technical acumen balanced with the ability to deliver a polished customer service experience. You thrive on delivering the best and act quickly based on analysis, data, and understanding customer needs. You have a “bias for action” and don’t “boil the ocean”. You bring 5+ years of IT service delivery experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity, the ability to engage as a technical subject matter expert, and have demonstrated your ability to lead and deliver complex technology initiatives. You roll up your sleeves and dig into the details personally. You like figuring out problems and solving them to help the company succeed and operate with speed, accuracy and results.
A Day in the Life:
In this position, you will be leading key technology projects and advancing efforts to secure and modernize our environment and end user experience for our Doctors, Staff, and their patients. We operate with a Managed Services Provider with whom you will partner with to ensure prompt resolution of support requests and systems administration tasks. This includes both our 32 medical offices and internal HQ supporting operations. This position strongly emphasizes the quality of the end user experience with prompt responsiveness, dependability, and timely communication are a must. This position reports to the Chief Technology Officer.
This includes:
- Own physician office technology onboarding, including automating manual processes and simplifying the experience for 2 doctors and 3 staff in each office.
- Visit offices and work with outside consultants and team to build/iterate on a playbook for ensuring cybersecurity best practices for every office and ensuring sensitive data is limited and stored only in secure locations. Lead the rollout of this playbook in late 2025 and 2026.
- Work with the team to ensure continued cybersecurity best practices, clean-up and remediation in O365 and other environments.
- Own the rollout of the athenaPatient mobile app and web portal to 60+ doctors, 180+ staff and 5000+ patients across the network, developing FAQs and other tools to automate onboarding, support and usage.
- Partner with our Clinical Apps Specialist to ensure seamless usage and support for the athenaPatient application and connection to the athenaOne medical records system.
- Assist CRM team with technology selection and implementation for a small, remote Inside Sales team.
- Lead the rollout of a new company Intranet platform.
- Support our marketing team with basic web site maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Oversee IT support processes with MSP and assist with internal escalations.
- Oversee mobile device management from procurement to retirement, working with carriers and utilizing software tools to build and update provisioning automation.
- Resolve complex technical issues and identify outside resources if needed.
- Ensure the highest standards of IT service delivery across the organization. Review support workflows and build out internal ticketing and documentation systems for non-MSP tasks.
- Monitor and respond to security findings, participate in security assessments and audits.
- Ensure seamless implementation of Multi Factor Authentication and Single Sign On user configuration and application onboarding.
- Complete development and ongoing updates and revisions of IT policies and procedures.
- Support business continuity planning and disaster recovery testing.
- Lead user training sessions on security best practices and create self-service resources.
- Occasional travel for new office openings and technical setup.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5years of progressive IT experience with exposure to multiple technical disciplines.
- Minimum 2years in an IT supervisory or team lead capacity.
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent technical certifications.
- Proficiency with mobile device management, endpoint security tools, and encryption technologies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA, HITECH, and healthcare compliance requirements.
- Experience with healthcare-specific EMR/EHR applications
- Knowledge of networking principles, security, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Experience managing IT in regulated environments with audit requirements.
- Ability to work independently in a high-touch concierge medical environment.
