Summary
This position is an afternoon position from Monday through Friday. Coming in around lunch or later consists of helping with lunch and naptimes, while allowing earlier arriving staff lunch breaks and planning periods, and then assisting in the running of the classroom until closing time.
Duties
Duties include all tasks associated with the direct care of children such as, but not limited to, feeding, changing, interacting with, teaching, loving, and nurturing. You will be assiting the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and activities and also responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of the classroom in which you are assigned. These duties include but are not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, wiping down counters, bleaching toys and equipment, etc.
Requirements
You must have a high school diploma or GED, pass a criminal history background check, and pass a TB test and physical signed by a doctor.
Nice To Haves
We prefer candidates who are looking for a career in Early Childhood or going to school for Early Childhood. This is not mandatory but if candidates have an interest in continuing education there are opportunities to do that through programs while working in childcare.
