Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mason to join our team. In this role, you will remove and install refractory products in differente . You will use a combination of modern power tools and traditional hand tools. The ideal candidate has a proven track record as a skilled Mason and a love of the craft.
Responsibilities
- Install Refractory products such as Refractory Plastic, Ram, Brick, Castable and Gunnite
- Removal of refractory with chipping hammers and rivet busters
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform basic construction tasks
- Running gunite machinery during installation of refractory materials.
- Perform stick welding of steel anchors.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Train apprentices in masonry skills
- Ability to Travel - Currently position would require some out-of-town travel as some of our customers are Out of State.
Qualifications
- 5 + years of bricklayer experience, residential and commercial
- 3+ years experience in construction projects.(Industrial construction is helpful) (Refractory knowledge and experience is extremely helpful, but not required).
- Knowledge of construction methods and technologies, and ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts
- Knowledge of building forms for masonry work (arches, lintels, ect.)
- Previous experience as a Mason or in a similar position
- Ability to adapt to multiple projects simultaneously with a constant eye on quality Certification or training in masonry is preferred
- Ability to collaborate with other construction professionals
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to adhere to all safety rules and regulations
- Knowledge of power tools and industrial machinery is preferred
