Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
Position: Forklift Operator/Warehouse Employee
First Shift: 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday – Friday
Expected hours: 40 per week
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must pass a background check due to our bonded warehouse status
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse setting
- Ability to operate sit-down forklift
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Skill in pulling/picking materials based on warehouse locations
- Basic written, verbal and math skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the transportation industry, particularly in dock/warehouse operations
- Yard goat experience a plus
- Proficiency in loading and unloading trailers
- Attention to detail and a strong desire to succeed
- Knowledge of warehousing operations, product movement, and inventory systems
- Effective communication skills with team members and management
Typical Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Efficiently sort, handle, load, and unload palletized and non-palletized freight
- Operate motorized and manual equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts
- Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies
- Adhere to company safety policies while working in a non-climate-controlled dock environment
