Looking for an experienced painter to start right away. Must be skilled in painting the exterior of residential buildings.
General Duties and Responsibilities

Mask, sand, and prepare surfaces like walls, ceilings, etc for paint application

Prep and coat surfaces with materials such as primer or paint using spray gun or brush and roll
-
Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, or using water and/or abrasive blasting
-
Cover surfaces with appropriate material for protection during painting and post appropriate paint signs

Match or detect differences in colors, including shades of color and brightness

Comply with all safety practices and policies. Always use personal protective equipment and practice safety precautions when using tools, ladders, or other potentially dangerous equipment or supplies

Care for and maintain equipment/tools as by washing and cleaning equipment after use

Clean up and store paint and painting tools and equipment in appropriate areas

Tapes, repairs, and applies texturing and acoustic layers on a variety of surfaces.

Leaves job location clean and free of debris.

Must be able to maintain a clean work environment protecting all surfaces from damage during the application of materials.

Prepares, primes, sands, and patches and paints buildings surfaces and fixtures

Adjusts color when necessary; utilizes enhanced finishing skills when appropriate.

Operates, cleans, and maintains all painting equipment, including brush, roll and sprayers, pumps, etc. Safely stores and labels all material.
Basic Qualifications

Must have a minimum of 1 year of relevant residential experience.

Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.

Must be a motivated self-starter.

Must be able to problem-solve on the job.

Must have a valid Class C driver’s license and have a clean driving record.

Ability to work without direct supervision.

Must be able to climb ladders, bend, stoop, kneel, and work overhead while painting.

Strong work ethic (show up on-time, clock in and out).

Positive attitude with ability to work in a team and get along with crew members. Reliable transportation to and from different job sites.

Experience repairing and refinishing woodwork and/or installing and removing.

Erects scaffolding and ladders as necessary in a manner consistent with safety codes.
