The Front Desk Receptionist will serves as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff at the surgical center. This role is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, managing front desk operations, handling administrative duties, and ensuring a smooth and professional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction & Front Desk Duties

Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner

Register and check in/out patients using the electronic medical record (EMR) system

Verify insurance coverage and collect co-pays or payments.

Provide pre- and post-operative instructions as directed

Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Administrative Support

Answer incoming phone calls and route appropriately

Schedule, confirm, and reschedule surgical appointments

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Scan, fax, and file documents
Facility Coordination

Monitor lobby and waiting area for cleanliness and comfort

Assist clinical staff with clerical tasks
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Prior experience in a medical office or surgical setting (preferred)

Knowledge of EMR systems (preferred)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
