HFS Company is a recognized Architecture/Engineering/Construction project management and consulting firm working on a variety of federal, military, and commercial projects throughout the US and Europe. We provide full-service A/E design and support services across the entire lifecycle of our clients' facilities and assist our clients to reach their capital improvement goals.
We are currently looking for a Construction Administrator to work onsite at the Jesse Brown VAMC in Chicago, Illinois.
Qualifications:
- Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning and/or evidence of work experience or knowledge to compensate for absence of higher education. A minimum of five (5) years of construction work experience may be substituted and shall be reviewed for acceptability.
- Must be able to provide a detailed dossier.
- Must have a working knowledge of construction practices and ability to call upon this knowledge to assist in implementing the various plans set forth on the project including Quality Assurance; Safety, Time, Cost, Change and Information Management.
- Must have familiarity with the site operations of a General and Sub-contractor and the process of managing a building construction operation.
- Must have previous work experience in monitoring the construction for Quality Assurance.
- Must have experience preparing, analyzing, and identifying incongruities and deficiencies in the Contractor's work in relationship with the construction documents.
- Must have the ability to understand the baseline schedule and to assist in determining the value of the acceptable work in place.
- Work experience on completed projects shall be identified in the credentials of the individual to show competency to undertake a rigorous program in construction in all identified task order scope of work required solicitation.
- Must be able to present three projects of the scale and difficulty at which candidate held a similar position
- Must possess Communication, Language, and Software Skills with the ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products, compile data and records by applying both knowledge of the construction industry computer literacy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to write clearly to communicate technical issues and design ideas
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
- Ability to pass basic background check for entry to US government-owned facilities
