ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

<li>Exercise instructors are responsible for their own music and agree to use music suitable for a family setting.</li>
<li>Become familiar with class participants; learn names, their health concerns and their physical limitations.</li>
<li>Maintain constant supervision of participants during class.</li>
<li>Direct all maintenance concerns to the Executive/Wellness/Program Director immediately.</li>
<li>Ensure all participants wear appropriate footwear</li>
<li>Make sure all equipment is put away correctly following your shift.</li>
<li>Instructors are expected to find their own substitutes if they are not work their scheduled shift and communicate the substitute to the supervisor in a timely manner.</li>

As a Fitness Coach you can expect to perform the following duties:
<ul>
<li>Leading and motivating members through pre-defined workouts</li>
<li>Helping members set and achieve goals</li>
<li>Making sure members are using correct form and offering corrections if they aren’t</li>
<li>Understanding the science behind our workouts specifically, heart-rate focused training programs in general, and being aware of what the competition is doing</li>
<li>Knowing how to use and demonstrate usage for every piece of equipment utilized in every workout</li>
<li>Being a team player</li>
</ul>
Additionally, you’ll need to hold certification or be willing to obtain one of the following: &nbsp;
<ul>
<li>National Strength &amp; Conditioning Association (NSCA)&nbsp;</li>
<li>American Council on Exercise (ACE)</li>
<li>American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)&nbsp;</li>
<li>Aerobics &amp; Fitness Association of America (AFAA)</li>
<li>National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)&nbsp;</li>
<li>be certified in AED/CPR</li>
