Job Description
We are seeking a Casting Machine Operator to join our production team. This role involves operating and maintaining casting machines, inspecting wheels to ensure cosmetic standards, and working in a hot, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, detail-oriented, and able to meet daily production targets while working collaboratively with the team.
Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor casting machines, making adjustments as needed.

Perform basic maintenance on dies and machines.

Inspect and rework wheels to meet cosmetic quality standards.

Complete required paperwork, including PMCL, X-O Sheets, Honeywell charts, and other forms.

Handle, transport, and deflash wheels according to procedures.

Safely work with hot dies, aluminum, and equipment in high-temperature environments.

Use tools and lifting equipment to move wheels weighing 25–40 lbs, up to 40 feet.

Maintain safety standards, PPE usage, and 5S requirements.

Collaborate with rovers and group leaders to meet production and yield goals.

Support cost control efforts by minimizing waste of supplies and equipment.

Maintain excellent attendance and be available for scheduled overtime.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to read, write, perform basic math, and follow procedures.

Visual ability, including color discrimination.

Ability to pass a Functional Capacity Exam and skill testing.

Comfortable working in hot environments (up to 180ºF), around hot dies, liquid aluminum, and heavy machinery.

Basic knowledge of robotics (start, reset, resume) preferred.

Physical ability to handle frequent standing, bending, lifting (25–40 lbs), and tool use in a vibrating/hot environment.

Working knowledge of SPC charts is a plus.
