Gonzalez Asphalt, Inc. is seeking an experienced Grading Foreman to oversee and coordinate grading and earthwork operations on construction projects. The ideal candidate will lead crews in the field, ensure work is completed safely and according to project specifications, and coordinate closely with superintendents and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead grading crews and equipment operators

• Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and grade stakes

• Ensure proper grades, elevations, and slopes are achieved

• Coordinate daily work activities, equipment, and materials

• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations

• Monitor productivity and quality of work

• Communicate progress, issues, and needs to the Superintendent

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a foreman or lead operator preferred

• Strong knowledge of grading equipment (dozers, graders, loaders, excavators)

• Ability to read construction plans and grade stakes

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

• Valid driver’s license required

Preferred Skills

• Experience in asphalt or paving-related projects

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
