General Accountabilities
The Janitorial Worker will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our facilities, ensuring a respectful and dignified environment for our clients and their families.
Specific Responsibilities
• Clean and sanitize all areas of the funeral home, including chapels, restrooms, offices, and reception areas.
• Empty trash bins and replace liners regularly.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Vacuum and mop floors, ensuring they are spotless and free of debris.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces, such as countertops, door handles, and light switches.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down funeral services as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles used for funeral processions.
• Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed to the management team.
• Ensure that all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized.
Experience and Educational Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate and respectful demeanor, with the ability to handle sensitive situations.
• Reliable and punctual
