Personal Injury Attorney
Location: Hyde Park. NY (this is a hybrid position, 3 days in office, 2 days work from home)
Salary: $120K-$150K base + case commissions at settlement (salary depends on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients who have sustained injuries due to accidents, negligence, or other incidents, ensuring they receive the compensation they deserve. This role involves litigation, negotiation, and strong advocacy skills to effectively handle complex personal injury cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in personal injury cases, including but not limited to accidents, premises liability, and medical malpractice.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and prepare legal documents.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Prepare and present cases in court, including drafting motions, pleadings, and briefs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of personal injury laws and relevant legal precedents to ensure effective case management.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing guidance and updates throughout the legal process.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to strengthen case strategies and client representation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal injury law or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of personal injury litigation, including accident and liability laws.
- Excellent negotiation, advocacy, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines.
- Experience with trial preparation and court appearances is preferred.
