About HPF: Houston Precision Fasteners produces high strength, fatigue rated, close tolerance fasteners using materials such as carbon steel, alloy steel, nickel alloy, titanium, waspaloy, A-286, monel and multiphase. Our fasteners have supported mission aircrafts such as; Joint Strike Fighters, F/A 18 Super Hornet, and Falcon 9; just to name a few. We are dedicated to providing a superior product to our customers.

Job purpose: Assists in daily production operations and purchasing consumables for CNC machine shop, machinery, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, or services necessary for HPF operations while managing inventory associated with materials.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

· Manage current vendors, to include steady communication and coordination to ensure materials are received by HPF in a timely manner as to not affect production negatively

· Onboard new vendors

· Prepare purchase orders

· Solicit bid proposals

· Review requisitions for goods and services

· Negotiate, renegotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives

· Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices

· Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, and any applicable local, state or federal and state regulations

· Manage Inventory control which includes cycle counting, min/max levels, vendor maintenance

· Manage customer orders through the shop and other departments

· Manage production paperwork; printing, distributing, and filing essential documents

· Responsible for communication coordination by relaying instructions from production managers, ensuring proper communication between departments

Professional Skills:

· HS diploma or equivalent or equivalent combination of experience/education

· 4-6 years of related experience desired in a manufacturing environment

· Working knowledge of AS9100 preferred

· Working knowledge of Visual Esti-Track (ERP); preferred

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office

· Advanced knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services

Physical Requirements and Working Condition:

· Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for prolonged periods of time, climb steps, and ladders

· Must be able to work at heights utilizing fall protection equipment (man lifts, ladders, and stand)

· Must be able to lift to 45lbs

· Subject to environmental conditions -protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes

· Subject to hazards to include a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals

· Subject to loud constant noise

· Subject to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation
