Job DescriptionYour day at Re:Build Manufacturing – New Kensington
Picture this: you start your shift in New Kensington, PA, loading a new aerospace component onto the CMM. You launch a PC-DMIS routine you’ve refined, verify dimensions against drawings using your GD&T expertise, and capture results that keep production moving. By mid-morning, you’re reviewing measurement data with quality and project engineering, updating traceability records, and proposing a small program tweak that improves cycle time. In the afternoon, you build a fresh inspection program for a new part, validate it with calipers and micrometers, and confirm the component conforms to all customer and internal requirements. Before you leave, you log your findings and contribute another idea to continuous improvement.
Role impact
- Execute inspections and tests per defined measurement plans and accurately report the results.
- Collaborate closely with quality and project engineers to share insights from testing and inspection.
- Create new CMM inspection programs and enhance existing ones to improve robustness and efficiency.
- Verify component compliance with specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Complete quality and traceability documentation with precision and timeliness.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement across processes and programs.
What you bring
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years in manufacturing quality control, including hands-on CMM operation.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and acceptance test procedures; strong command of GD&T.
- PC-DMIS experience for CMM operation (preferred).
- Background in AS9100 and ISO 9001 environments (preferred).
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector credential is a plus.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Comfort with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
