CTG's premier client has a contract assignment for an Electrical Engineer II.
Type: Contract
Job Title: Electrical Engineer II
Location: Wilmington, NC
(Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Wilmington, NC)
Pay Rate: Based on experience
Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm (Hours may vary, with occasional overtime expected. 10-20 hours of overtime per week is not uncommon.)
Education: BS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)

Description:
The Electrical Engineer II will be responsible for:
- Performing hands-on installation support for new or modified production equipment.
- Supervising and providing direction to contract engineering technicians and trades during equipment installation and conversion activities, including demolition, construction, installation, testing, and debugging.
- Conducting hands-on troubleshooting, process start-up, design, and documentation of Electrical and Controls Systems for production equipment.
- Modifying existing documentation to create complete drawing packages, installation checklists, and machine specifications.
- Updating and modifying machine control programs for various processes, including PLC controlled I/O and automated systems.
- Assessing the condition and usability of existing equipment in relation to new installation plans.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: BS in Electrical Engineering (4-year degree required; other degrees may be considered based on relevant experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a related role.
Top Skills:
- Successful hands-on experience with installation and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proven project management experience, including efficiency analysis and materials procurement.
- Ability to supervise and direct technicians and trades during installation and conversion processes.
