Position Overview:
Blue Crow Sports Group is seeking an experienced and visionary Head Coach to lead the Elite Africa Football Program—a premier development initiative for Africa’s most promising footballers aged 16 to 18. The Head Coach will play a central role in shaping the future of African football by developing elite talent and fostering a high-performance environment that reflects the values and long-term goals of BCSG.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Coaching
- Lead the overall football philosophy, training methodology, and tactical framework for the Elite Africa program.
- Design, implement, and evaluate high-quality training sessions aligned with modern football principles and youth development standards.
- Manage match preparation, team selection, in-game decisions, and post-match analysis.
- Develop individualized training plans to accelerate player growth and maximize potential.
Team & Staff Management
- Oversee the technical team, including assistant coaches, Performance coaches, analysts, and medical personnel.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the coaching and support staff.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and lead staff development initiatives.
Player Development
- Identify, nurture, and mentor top-level talent from across the African continent.
- Monitor and document individual player progress with a focus on technical, tactical, physical, and psychological development.
- Ensure holistic player growth both on and off the pitch.
Program Execution & Reporting
- Work within BCSG’s broader football and organizational framework to ensure alignment with global strategy.
- Collaborate with scouting and performance departments to assess player data and guide recruitment.
- Provide regular reports to senior management, including program performance, player progression, and operational feedback.
Relocation & Travel
- Reside in Africa for the duration of the program and commit to extensive in-country travel as required.
- Represent Blue Crow Sports Group professionally across all regions and maintain strong relationships with local partners, communities, and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- UEFA A License (or equivalent) – mandatory. Ideally Pro License or working towards
- Minimum 5 years of coaching experience at youth academy or professional level,
- preferably with elite players aged 15–19.
- Demonstrated success in talent development, preferably in diverse and international
- settings.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Passion for African football and cultural adaptability.
- Willingness and ability to relocate and commit long-term to operations in Africa.
