Job DescriptionSummary: The Recreation Assistant works directly with residents with such love, acceptance, friendliness and compassion that residents are invited to live their lives in fullness; they implement and lead activity programs based on resident’s interests, strengths and needs; they conduct activities in an atmosphere of warmth, success, encouragement and joy; they work as a team with a positive attitude.
Hours of Work: Part-time hours, typical evening shift is 4:15pm - 8:00pm. Every other weekend and every other holiday required. Extra $1.00 per hour on the weekends!
Preferred Experience and Education: Previous experience with geriatrics or people with disabilities, previous work in long-term care or healthcare setting is preferred but not required. Bethesda has a great team to teach you the skills for this position. No diploma, degree, or certificate required.
