An international manufacturer in Memphis, TN is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to support their operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with powering electrical systems and configuring controls hardware (control panel design) for large-scale conveyor systems.

This is a full time and direct hire position with an excellent benefits package.

Responsibilities include:

• Power up electrical systems and configure hardware per client application requirements
• Design controls (enclosure layouts, control panels, power distribution) for customized automation systems
• Collaborate with mechanical engineering teams on a project basis: read mechanical drawings and understand their electrical requirements to create schematics
• Create specifications for graphical user interface (GUI) based on client requirements
• Supervise control system construction and installation at client sites
• Occasionally travel to customer sites following installation for modifications and troubleshooting of systems

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S) in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of experience with automotive conveyors
• Strong experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
• Ability to travel up to 20%
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed for project deadlines
