Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will handle a caseload of workers' compensation claims, providing expert legal advice and representation to clients while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of workers' compensation cases from inception through resolution
- Conduct thorough legal research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Provide legal counsel to clients regarding their rights and obligations under workers' compensation laws
- Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients in mediation and court proceedings
- Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure high-quality legal service
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all case-related activities and communications
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- 2+ years of experience in workers' compensation law and litigation
- Strong understanding of workers' compensation statutes and regulations
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Familiarity with legal software and case management tools is a plus
- Experience in personal injury law and handling settlement demands is preferred
