Job DescriptionOur client is seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead their engineering and product development teams. This individual will be instrumental in driving innovation, overseeing technical operations, and aligning engineering initiatives with overall business objectives.

The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader, comfortable managing technical teams while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to high quality standards.

Department Leadership
Manage day-to-day operations of the engineering department, ensuring alignment with executive direction and business goals.

Project & Resource Management
Develop and execute detailed project plans; manage priorities, budgets, and timelines; allocate resources effectively.

Team Development
Recruit, lead, and mentor engineering staff. Set performance goals, conduct evaluations, and foster a culture of innovation and accountability.

Technical Guidance
Provide technical leadership and oversight. Review product designs, engineering documentation, and ensure compliance with best practices.

Strategic Collaboration
Contribute to the annual business plan; collaborate with leadership to set technical and scientific goals.

Customer & Sales Support
Serve as a technical resource for customer applications, including system setup and training. Some domestic and international travel may be required.

Stakeholder Engagement
Maintain strong relationships with internal departments and external partners; support negotiation of contracts and technical agreements.

Reporting & Documentation
Prepare and review technical reports, white papers, and project documentation as needed.

What we are looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Software, Industrial Engineering, or related field

5–10 years of engineering experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or management role

Strong technical acumen and a track record of successfully leading engineering projects

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Clear written and verbal communication abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Experience managing cross-functional initiatives and aligning engineering strategy with business objectives

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally

Time split: ~70% in an office environment (with AC/heating) and ~30% in a warehouse setting (no central climate control)

Occasional standing, walking, or bending (~25% of time); primarily stationary work (~75%)

Frequent use of standard office equipment (computer, phone, printer, etc.)
