Yoh Scientific is partnering with a leading molecular diagnostics manufacturer to hire a GMP Production Assembler for a contract assignment in Hercules, CA. You’ll help build diagnostic components and kits that laboratories rely on every day.
Role Snapshot
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Compensation: $21.00 per hour (W2)
- Contract: 3 months with potential to extend or convert

A Day in the Life
Start your shift by checking calibrated equipment and verifying incoming materials. You’ll rotate across stations to assemble parts and complete kits, dispense dry and wet products, apply labels, seal bags, cap and torque bottles, and document every step to GMP/Quality Systems standards. You will also keep your area stocked, communicate issues to the Lead, and help maintain 5S and safety in the work area.
What You’ll Do
- Receive and verify materials; operate and calibrate production equipment.
- Assemble components and complete kit builds with precise measurements and documentation.
- Apply labels; seal, cap, and torque according to specifications; dispense dry and/or wet products.
- Inspect output using visual, automated, electronic, and mechanical inspection methods.
- Dispose of scrap and waste correctly; comply with 5S and site safety requirements.
- Move materials with motorized and non-motorized equipment as directed.
- Maintain inventory at your workstation and alert the Lead to abnormal production issues.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Hands-on role involving standing, sitting, bending, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, talking, and hearing.
- Lift and move items; occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Requires close/color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work may be near moving mechanical equipment; potential exposure to chemicals/hazardous materials and risk of electric shock.
- May work in coolers/freezers and handle dry ice; moderate noise environment.
- Personal protective equipment worn as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience; 2+ years preferred or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- Able to read, write, comprehend, and follow work instructions.
- Basic math, problem-solving, and computer proficiency.
- Transactions in SAP a plus.
- Experience with manual, semi-automatic, and automatic production machinery preferred.
- Team-oriented, adaptable, detail-focused, and quality-driven.
