Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a busy primary care practice. This role requires the ability to work independently with minimal training in a fast-paced environment. Entry-level or newly certified applicants will not be considered.

Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

• Minimum 3 years of Medical Assistant experience
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
• Proven experience with:
• • Phlebotomy
  • EKGs
  • IM/Subcutaneous injections
• Understanding of SOAP note structure and clinical documentation
• Highly computer savvy with strong EMR skills
• Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) strongly preferred
• Ability to function with minimal training and supervision

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and administer injections
• Assist providers during patient visits
• Accurately document encounters using SOAP format
• Enter diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10 and CPT codes
• Process prescription refill requests in accordance with provider protocols
• Handle patient callbacks, relay provider instructions, and document communications
• Manage daily clinical tasks, messages, and workflows within eClinicalWorks
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and clinical standards

Important Notice

This position is intended for experienced Medical Assistants only. Training will be minimal, and candidates must already be proficient in the duties listed above.
