What you will do:
- Serve as the Electrical CAD expert, providing guidance and technical knowledge across the organization.
- Manage and update the parts database, ensuring accuracy in 2D/3D symbols and keeping user databases and software versions current
- Coordinate cross-platform integration, linking databases with DXF files and facilitating CNC/3D wiring compatibility with Komax systems
- Develop templates and symbols, collaborating with part vendors to create essential 2D/3D assets and detailed part information for design projects
- Provide technical support, addressing escalated issues, troubleshooting problems, and maintaining clear communication with customers
- Create detailed documentation, including PDF manuals and instructional videos, to streamline problem resolution and enhance user understanding
- Ensure seamless software and database functionality, working alongside internal support teams to maintain efficient design processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement, optimizing CAD workflows, and supporting initiatives that enhance system performance and usability
What you will need to be successful:
- At least two years of higher education, an associate degree, or a professional certification
- 2+ years of demonstrated work experience with CAD packages (AutoCAD, SEE Electrical, SolidWorks, Inventor, or ProE)
- Proficiency in Electrical CAD software (preferred), with experience using industry-standard tools
- Hands-on experience designing electrical control panels, ensuring functionality and compliance
- Familiarity with SQL and Access databases (a plus), supporting efficient data management
- Ability to interpret manufacturing assembly drawings and datasheets, applying technical insights to design work
- Strong attention to detail, maintaining precision and accuracy in all tasks
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to collaborate effectively
- Capability to work independently, managing functions while adhering to schedules and deadlines
