Looking for an experienced RDA or DA to join ALMA Dental in Point Loma, San Diego
Part-time | Tuesday–Thursday, 8 hours/day| No evenings or weekends
ALMA Dental is a patient-centered private practice in Point Loma with a calm, laid-back, professional vibe and genuinely great patients. We’re looking for an experienced RDA or DA who is outgoing, a strong team player, and an effective communicator. Someone who is comfortable and confident talking with patients about treatment, not just assisting chairside.
This is a primarily clinical role, but strong communication skills are essential. You should be comfortable moving between back and front office, helping discuss and reinforce treatment plans, support scheduling, and keep patient flow on track.
The right person is kind, reliable, organized, and confident interacting with patients, including answering questions and reinforcing recommended treatment. You communicate clearly, take initiative, and help keep the day running smoothly.
Day to day, you’ll assist the doctor chairside, support patient flow, help explain treatment when appropriate, assist with scheduling and follow-ups, and complete accurate charting in Eaglesoft. You’ll jump in where needed to support the team.
We’re looking for someone with at least 2 years of RDA experience, a solid understanding of dental procedures, and the communication skills needed to confidently discuss treatment plans with patients. Eaglesoft or front office experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person.
While this is not a management role, leadership is expected. You should feel comfortable guiding others, speaking up when something isn’t working, and helping the team operate smoothly.
Pay starts at $25/hour during the probation period, with the opportunity to increase up to $35/hour based on skill set demonstrated during probation and ongoing performance. Opportunities for future advancement exist for the right fit.
