Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with a strong background in drafting and negotiating real estate construction contracts. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing complex contractual matters for construction and development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of real estate construction agreements
- Advise clients on risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and contractual strategy
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to structure and close deals
- Support dispute resolution and contract enforcement efforts as needed
- Stay current with relevant laws, codes, and industry best practices
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school and active membership in the California State Bar
- 7+ years of relevant experience, with a focus on real estate construction contracts
- Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of handling complex transactions
- Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Work Schedule:
- This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in the firm's Los Angeles office and two days remote.
