Position Summary:
The Racquets Professional is responsible for delivering high-quality racquets instruction and programming. This role develops players of all levels, promoting racquets activities, and creating a welcoming and enthusiastic environment for members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide private and group instruction to players of all ages and skill levels.
- Assist with organizing, promoting, and running clinics, social events, tournaments, and league play.
- Develop engaging junior and adult racquets programming.
- Help maintain courts and ensure all equipment is in good condition.
- Actively promote racquets programs to encourage participation and retention.
- Represent the club in a professional manner at all times.
- Assist in the operation of the Sports Center Pro Shop, including stocking, organizing, and selling merchandise.
- Support and collaborate with other racquets professionals and staff.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Competitive playing background and teaching experience preferred.
- Experience in multiple racquet sports a plus (tennis, pickleball, etc.)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiastic, dependable, and highly professional.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Must be able to stand, walk, and remain active on court for extended periods; frequent bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and physical demonstration of racquet techniques required.
- Work is primarily performed on indoor and/or outdoor courts, with exposure to varying weather conditions depending on the season.
- Fast-paced, customer-facing environment with moderate to high noise levels during peak times and group activities.
