Large Litigation Firm in downtown Miami is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Defense Paralegal with at least three (3) years of experience to join them in a temporary-to-hire capacity. A background in Maritime is highly desired.

Role Description:

• This is a full-time role , in-office, even while temporary
• Responsible for finalizing legal document preparation, communication, and administrative assistance
• Supporting attorneys with various tasks in personal injury and maritime defense cases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Familiar with State and Federal rules and procedures.
• Format and finalize pleadings, correspondence, discovery,
• Provide administrative support, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, hearings, and depositions.
• Assist team with trial preparation.
• Perform general legal administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant within personal injury law, maritime defense, or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with clients, attorneys, and other professionals in a professional and timely manner.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal software applications.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Clio a plus
