Associate Attorney - General Practice Firm
Watts Phanco Law Group PLLC is a dynamic and growing general practice law firm based in Shallotte, NC. Established in 2006, we have proudly served the legal needs of clients across Brunswick County, NC, and Horry County, SC, and currently represent over 4,800 clients. We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Associate Attorney to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate or an experienced attorney looking for a supportive environment with diverse casework and direct client interaction.

Responsibilities
The Associate Attorney will be responsible for a broad range of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Conducting legal research and analysis.
- Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
- Managing case files and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Attending court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as required.
- Assisting senior attorneys with trial preparation and potentially handling their own caseload, depending on experience.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the North Carolina State Bar (or eligibility for prompt admission).
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- A strong work ethic and a commitment to providing excellent client service.
- Interest in our firm's practice areas is highly preferred.
Compensation
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
