Practice: Interventional Pain Management

Experienced in both front and back office duties
Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
Experienced with phlebotomy (required)
Candidates must be graduates of a Medical Assistant program with at least 2 years of relevant experience and Medical Assistant certification.
Core Responsibilities:
Front Office (Admin):
- Answer phones, greet and check in patients
- Schedule appointments and manage chart retrieval
- Verify insurance, request and follow up on authorizations
- Fax, scan, and upload documents to EMR
- Communicate with referring physicians and organize practice documentation
- Batch superbills for billing
Back Office (Clinical):
- Take vitals and assist in in-office procedures and injections
- Prep syringes, needles, medications, and EMG machines
- Assist with ultrasound-guided injections
- Perform urine drug screen collections
- Perform phlebotomy and lab-related tasks
- Manage room cleaning, supply restocking, and inventory
- Obtain and organize medical records and imaging
Patient Communication:
- Gather thorough medical histories (symptoms, meds, imaging, family history, etc.)
- Document information into Electronic Medical Records
- Effectively communicate patient concerns to providers
- Collaborate closely with staff to ensure timely patient care
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- EMR systems, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, scanning/uploading
- Health insurance verification (PPO, Medicare, TriCare, Work Comp, etc.)
- Understanding of the insurance authorization process
- Familiarity with medical terminology in musculoskeletal/pain medicine
- Strong attention to detail, grammar, spelling, and patient data accuracy
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt to changing needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A commitment to confidentiality, OSHA, HIPAA, and clinical standards
- Positive, respectful attitude with a passion for patient care
