Job Type: Temp-to-Hire – Full-Time Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret aerospace manufacturing drawings, including tolerances, customer specifications, and technical requirements.
- Inspect products using manual precision tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, profilometers, bore gauges, etc.) to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specs, and orders.
- Document inspection results—accept/reject decisions, required rejection paperwork, and necessary MRP system updates.
- Perform specialized testing, including Rockwell hardness testing and Eddy Current testing, to determine product acceptance.
- Review and verify outside processing certifications (NDT, chemical processing, finishes) and ensure final product appearance meets engineering specifications.
Schedule Options:
- 1st shift: Monday – Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
- 2nd shift: Monday –Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm
Pay:
- $24.00 – $30.00/hour (based on experience)
- Shift Differentials:
- Weeknight: +$4.00/hour
- Weekend Day: +$2.00/hour
- Weekend Night: +$4.00/hour
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on inspection experience in a regulated industry, including 2 recent years in aerospace.
- Proficient in engineering drawings and GD&T, demonstrated by passing advanced drawings and fluent-level GD&T tests.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional trade school or college coursework in blueprint reading or GD&T preferred.
