In this role, you’ll focus on ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently through preventative maintenance and timely repairs. You’ll collaborate with operations and quality teams to support food-safe, continuous production.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • -Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures using hand and power tools.

  • -Perform temporary repairs, followed by permanent fixes as needed.

  • -Complete and maintain accurate equipment repair and PM logs in the computerized maintenance system.

  • -Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and inspect packaging machinery regularly.

  • -Make improvement suggestions and initiate deferred maintenance plans.

  • -Maintain tools according to sanitation and food safety (GMP, SQF, HACCP) requirements.

  • -Support production and quality teams when required.

Schedule

  • -3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 9:45 PM–6:00 AM
    -Training will take place either on 1st shift 5:45AM-2PM or 2nd shift from 1:45PM-10PM
    -Some Saturdays, holidays, and on-call shifts required—flexibility preferred.

Requirements

  • -Minimum of 5 years’ experience maintaining production equipment in food packaging or related facilities.

  • -Proficient across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC systems, across conveyors, fillers, sealers, and packaging machinery.

  • -Ability to interpret technical documentation: schematics, manuals, blueprints, and PLC code.

  • -Strong troubleshooting, communication, organizational, and follow-through skills.

  • -Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in standing, bending, climbing, twisting conditions throughout a shift.

  • -Comfortable using email and CMMS systems.

  • -Available for off-shift, overtime, weekend, and holiday schedules as needed.

  • -Interview at client site

Preferred Qualifications

  • -Bilingual (English & Spanish)

  • -Familiarity with CI techniques such as Six Sigma or Lean

Physical & Safety Requirements

  • Continuous standing, walking, bending, climbing, and twisting

  • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs

  • Repetitive hand and wrist movements

  • Compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) standards

  • Adherence to sanitary standards for food-contact environments
