Job Description

The Manufacturing Associate position involves providing assistance and support to various machines and processes within the plant. The role focuses on preparing packaging and labels for materials, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and maintaining quality throughout the production process.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and support production machines and processes, including kitting and packing parts.
  • Comply with safety rules and standards, and report any unsafe conditions to the shift supervisor or management.
  • Report concerns of potentially harmful environmental practices to the Shift Supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with standard work and applicable manufacturing standards.
  • Identify and communicate near misses and safety incidents.
  • Package materials per customer/product specifications and confirm the quality of finished packaging.
  • Complete and maintain quality documents at appropriate stages of production.
  • Assist in resolving nonconforming material and product issues, following procedures for identification and quarantine.
  • Document all process and product data in the ERP system and customer-required documents.
  • Identify lean and process improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the machine and machine area.
  • Handle materials, including monitoring material quality and labeling raw materials for inventory return.
  • Utilize shift overlap effectively to keep machines running and communicate with the next shift.
  • Return excess packaging supplies to the storage area at the end of a job.
  • Perform any other function or responsibility as assigned.

Work Environment

Work on a manufacturing shop floor that is very clean, with most areas being climate and temperature controlled. You will be working in a dry room/clean room environment. The role operates on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule with shifts from 5:00AM to 5:00PM for 1st shift and 5:00PM to 5:00AM for 3rd shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Suwanee, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $21.90/hr.
