Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Searchrch is seeking a highly skilled Bankruptcy Paralegal to join its Miami office, providing support to attorneys across both the Miami and Houston offices.
This is a unique opportunity to work on high-profile, complex Chapter 11 matters in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
After an initial 90-day onboarding period, this position will offer a hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all phases of Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases from inception to confirmation and post-confirmation.
- Draft and file petitions, schedules, SOFAs, notices, motions, proofs of claim, and other court documents using CM/ECF.
- Conduct research using PACER and other court databases; maintain case dockets and calendars.
- Manage case files and organize documentation related to filings, hearings, and deadlines.
- Coordinate with clients, courts, and trustees on case matters and ensure accurate communication flow.
- Support preparation for 341 meetings, hearings, and trials including preparation of exhibits and summaries.
- Track deadlines and ensure compliance with all applicable court rules and procedures.
- Maintain billing records and ensure timely and accurate time entry.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 + years of experience as a paralegal with a strong focus on Chapter 11 bankruptcy matters.
- Deep understanding of federal bankruptcy rules and procedures.
- Proficient in CM/ECF, PACER, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling a high volume of tasks with precision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Paralegal certificate preferred, bachelor's degree a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, though not required.
