POSITION SUMMARY: The role involves delivering ethical and practical legal advice on estate planning (ranging from basic to advanced), business planning (including entity formation, acquisitions, contract review, and general business operations with an emphasis on succession planning), estate administration (probate and trust management), and income and estate tax planning.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES: (Note: The following functions are illustrative and may evolve based on firm needs.)

Estate Planning

Participate in client meetings, including initial consultations and document executions.

Prepare basic estate planning documents such as revocable living trusts, wills, advance directives, powers of attorney, and related forms.

Prepare advanced estate planning documents including business entities, irrevocable trusts, and charitable planning vehicles.

Business Planning
-
Review and prepare business formation documents like articles of incorporation, bylaws, and partnership agreements.
-
Provide legal advice on issues affecting businesses, including taxation, transactions, and corporate governance.
-
Assist in designing and implementing corporate structures and policies.
-
Draft, review, and file legal documents related to business operations.
-
Negotiate contract terms and ensure compliance with laws.
-

Estate Administration
-
Consult with fiduciaries on their duties and the administration process.
-
Prepare communications with beneficiaries regarding the administration.
-
Draft necessary pleadings for probate and trust administration.
-
Attend court hearings for probate and trust matters.
-
Review creditor claims and monitor the administration process.
-

Tax Planning
-
Review documents and tax returns to analyze income and estate tax issues.
-
Conduct analyses to identify tax mitigation opportunities.
-
Participate in case design to propose tax solutions.
-
Prepare documents for implementing selected tax strategies.
-

Other Responsibilities
-
Research and resolve legal disputes through law analysis and evidence collection.

Organize client data regarding assets and beneficiaries.
-
Analyze information to create reports and recommendations.
-
Manage multiple clients and cases with varying deadlines.
-
Facilitate referrals to affiliated advisors as needed.
-
Maintain detailed notes of all client interactions.
-
Meet with Partners for status updates and skill development.
-
Supervise support staff as required.
-
Serve as Notary Public as needed.

Assist with administrative duties as directed by Partners and Operations Director.

COMMUNICATION / CLIENT CONTACT: This position involves extensive interaction with clients, staff, and vendors, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality in all communications.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

B.S. / B.A. / J.D. degree required.

Current attorney license; must obtain Nevada license within six months.

3-5 years of experience in estate planning, estate administration, corporate law, and tax planning.

Tax background (CPA, LLM) and participation in relevant organizations are preferred but not required.
