Quality Inspector (Manufacturing Industry) Tasks & Duties (What You'll Do)

Quality Control Inspector – Nutraceuticals (Vitamins & Supplements)

• Perform routine in-process and final inspections on vitamins and supplements during all stages of production to ensure compliance with company quality standards and cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices).

• Monitor production lines to verify correct procedures are followed, including sanitation, packaging integrity, and proper equipment setup.

• Open and close production jobs by reviewing batch records, verifying lot information, and ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.

• Collect and prepare product samples for laboratory testing according to company protocols; ensure timely submission and proper labeling of samples.

• Inspect and approve incoming raw materials and packaging components by verifying specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting nonconforming materials.

• Approve in-process and finished goods by checking physical characteristics (e.g., color, size, labeling), reviewing in-process controls, and performing spot checks as needed.

• Document inspection results and quality observations in logs, reports, and batch records accurately and in real-time.

• Identify and report non-conformances; coordinate with Production and QA to initiate rework, hold, or rejection processes.

• Ensure measurement instruments and inspection tools are calibrated and functioning properly; report issues or initiate maintenance requests as needed.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment by following SOPs, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.

• Participate in internal audits, regulatory inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives as required.

• Support training of new team members and contribute to building a quality-driven culture on the production floor.

• Stay current on industry standards and regulations by attending trainings, reading technical publications, and participating in educational opportunities.

Quality Inspector (Manufacturing Industry) Shift Info

• Day Shift, 04:00 am to 02:30 pm

• Swing Shift, 02:30 am to 01:00 am

• Monday - Thursday

Quality Inspector (Manufacturing Industry) Qualifications (Requirements / Skills)

• Must possess excellent communication skills

• Knowledge of GMP and FDA Regualtions specific to supplements and nutraceuticals

• Strong attention to detail for identifying defects and ensuring product compliance

• Experience with in-process and final product inspections

• Proficient in completing and reviewing batch records and quality documentation.

• Effective communication

• Proven history of understanding industry safety standards and quality expectations

• Strong understanding of raw materials and the manufacturing industry

• Quality Inspector (Manufacturing Industry) experience preferred

• Able to work in the US.
