- Responsible to write, create, and test CNC programs.
- Ensure the produced CNC programs are optimized.
- Performs adjustments to adhere to established specifications or revisions.
- Monitor machining times and optimize it from time to time by recommending new machining techniques and methods to refine existing programs to programmers.
- Maintain the jigs and fixture.
- Keep machinery and work area in a clean, safe, maintained, and organized.
- Keep waste low, minimize scrap, use labor efficiently, and account for all parts on jobs.
- Improve on product through-put via additional operations such as multiple machine operation, deburring, cleaning, etc. whenever possible.
- Assist in other areas in order to meet the production needs of Essex and its customers.
- Comply with all PPE and machine guarding as necessary with each job.
Required Education/Experience/Certifications:
5-7 years of machine shop experience and 2-year trade school completion; or equivalent demonstrated proficiency.
