Job Description

Our immigration law firm is seeking a dedicated Immigration Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience representing clients before Immigration Court (EOIR), the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), USCIS, and in business immigration matters. This role requires strong advocacy skills, case management experience, and a passion for helping immigrantsboth individuals and businessesnavigate complex legal processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court.
  • Handle affirmative and defensive asylum cases, cancellation of removal, and motions to reopen/reconsider.
  • Prepare and file applications with USCIS, including I-601A waivers, adjustment of status, naturalization, and family-based petitions.
  • Manage business immigration matters, including employment-based petitions (H-1B, L-1, O-1, PERM labor certifications, EB categories, etc.).
  • Draft legal briefs, motions, and responses to RFEs and NOIDs.
  • Attend master and individual hearings, as well as USCIS interviews.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and develop case strategies tailored to each clientwhether family, humanitarian, or business-focused.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
  • Stay updated on immigration laws, policies, and procedural changes affecting both family- and business-based immigration.

Requirements:

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership (California Bar preferred, but open to other jurisdictions).
  • Minimum 5 years as an attorney. Immigration law experience strongly preferred, especially in removal defense and/or business immigration, but not required.
  • Strong litigation, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a heavy caseload while maintaining excellent client communication.
  • Spanish fluency is strongly preferred but not required.
