Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Location: Houston (vicinity of Hobby Airport)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay Rate: $21/hour

Job Title: Shop Equipment Technician – Refurb/ Rental

Job Summary
This position is responsible for assisting in the refurbishment or maintenance of shop equipment, including hoists and other machinery. Two roles are available:

Refurb Shop: Focuses on disassembling, repairing, and reassembling customer equipment to make it look and function like new. Basic electrical knowledge is helpful.
Rental Equipment Shop: Focuses on inspecting, repairing, and cleaning company-owned equipment to prepare it for rental use.

Both roles share the same schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

Assist technicians with the assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of hoists and other equipment.
Perform basic electrical tasks (Refurb Shop only) as needed.
Use welding skills when necessary (not the primary job function).
Pull, organize, and prepare materials for projects.
Assist in painting, cleaning, and finishing equipment.
Mount components such as switches and motors.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Take measurements using tapes, levels, and other measuring tools.
Operate forklifts, hand tools, and shop machinery safely.
Check in regularly with the shop manager (Refurb Shop – Tom Reff; Rental Shop – Dakota Dupre).

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to read and follow written procedures.
Ability to use hand tools and basic shop equipment.
Basic welding skills.
Some knowledge of electrical systems (preferred for Refurb Shop).
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
Self-sufficient, reliable, and punctual.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Work may take place inside or outside an unconditioned shop, with exposure to varying weather conditions.
Frequent climbing, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and lifting (25–50 lbs regularly).
Extended periods of standing or sitting may be required.
Exposure to manufacturing areas requiring personal protective equipment, including fire-retardant clothing, respirator, safety glasses with side shields, hard hat, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection.
